CLASSICAL AND CONTEMPORARY PIANO INSTRUCTOR

  1. All ages (4+) and levels beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Sessions

    are held virtually via Zoom, Skype, and Facetime.

  2. Teaching Certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music, with ARCT

    Diploma in Piano Performance (equivalent to university-level degree). 8+ years of piano teaching experience.

  1. Emphasis on technique, music theory, harmony, sight-reading, ear training, classical repertoire (from baroque to modern), and contemporary/popular music examples customized to each student.

  2. Package includes detailed handwritten lesson notes with weekly assignments, explanations, and recaps emailed to students after each lesson, as a reference for the week’s practice.

  3. Passion for highlighting the musical relevance and thematic context behind each and every concept. My students are able to make deep (and fun!) connections between technical knowledge and artistic applications.

 

CONTEMPORARY VOCAL COACH

  1. All ages (suggested 6+) and levels. Sessions are held virtually via Zoom,

    Skype, and Facetime.

  2. Emphasis on fundamentals (breath, tone, placement, anatomy, vowel

    work, control, flexible navigation of range) and musical storytelling. Combination of reliable warm-up techniques, and song selections tailored to each student. Union of traditional technique and modern applications.

  3. Personable, kind, creative, and detail-oriented approach, fostering awareness of the ties between mind and body, and how our emotions and individual perspectives directly inform our unique vocal sensibilities.

  4. Hybrid instrument/voice option: learn how to sing and play simultaneously, matching vocal pitches to piano notes. End result: accompany yourself seamlessly!

 

SONGWRITING AND MUSIC CAREER COACH

Songwriting: all ages (suggested 4+) and levels. Career Coaching Option: high school and beyond. Sessions are held virtually via Zoom, Skype, and Facetime.

  2. These sessions are completely tailored to individual aspirations and

    stylistic goals. Songwriting tools include freestyle warmups (both piano/voice), sensory writing and vivid journalistic exercises to inspire lyrics, study of musical chord progressions and melodicism, compelling performance tools, diving into existing song structures and artistic influences, and workshopping original material.

  3. Music business tips on building a profitable career pathway as a full-time creative professional. Exploring different viable options, ranging from the artist path, the gigging musician path, the recording artist path, the licensing path, the coaching path, and beyond.
